PROUD PARENTS-Native American Family-The Blackfeet were very close knit with strong moral values. Any one who lost track of morals had their nose cut off.
The Blackfeet were exceptional warriors, but dedicated family men as well. When asked how good was a Blackfoot Warrior, Joe Meek said; "They are so good they can hide in their own shadow." They carried a lot of respect. (SEE ALSO)

The male piece here is 2" by 20" by 24" and the female is in size equal to comparison of male to female.

This  carving has been donated to The Native American Youth and Family Center, Portland, Oregon (NAYA). The Center may be able to obtain the equipment (benches, band saw and hand carving tools) so I can teach the Youth to carve. They would need sponsors for this program.

If you like my work and would be interested in helping make this happen email Nicole Maher (nicholem@nayapdx.org), mention you are writing about the Project for Art McKellips to Teach the Youth Carving.
