Chief Little Robe of the Cheyenne-He appeared at Fort Cobb following the battle of Washita in 1868, in which many of Major Elliot's Command were casualties in securing a victory over the combined force of Cheyenne, Kiowa, Arapahoe and Apache's. The Army was holding many of these warrior survivors prisoner and Little Robe came down to check on their condition and attempt a reconciliation.
